Knowledge is incredible countless

July 6, 2008

Knowledge is something priceless than freedom..”Familiar? A strong line from one of Napoleon Bonaparte`s soldiers turned secretary of the wealthy who was imprisoned for the treasure of Monte Cristo. Well, Alexandre Dumas` Count of Monte Cristo.

The Count of Monte Cristo  has become one of the most fascinating political novels at all times. But aside  from political account written, the important of knowledge is of great value in the material. Dantes as a commoner symbolizes most of the Filipino youth who are not able to go to school.

Every peso counts for many students who face rapid increase of school related needs and expenses. And for every peso, parents have to break their backs just to send their children to school. As much as we would like to escape from realities about the freaking economic  anomaly and political nonsense of the country for a while, escape is of  no use. Political being deserves a break  but not yet. But whatever might be the extent of the current educational business perspective, we could only hope for a genuine and democratic consultation before it turns to be a private calamity.
